Hub Profile: We Resolve, St. Paul, MN

Updated: 1 day ago

Editor's Note: As the Participatory Defense Network, we have began a series of hub profile videos where we take a closer look at the people and groups that make up the Participatory Defense Network. For our first hub profile, we visit We Resolve MN in St. Paul, MN during their Time Saved Celebration where we got to highlight how the hub started, the significance of being in the Twin Cities and the amazing work they have been doing since starting.

Our Participatory Defense family in St.Paul, Minnesota started organizing as “WE RESOLVE” in the wake of George Floyd’s murder. In just four years, We Resolve has over 1,200 years of Time Saved from incarceration by organizing with other families, showing up to court for each other and making sure that system actors in Ramsey County do not railroad our people with unjust and racist sentences. So many St. Paul community leaders in this video! And we are so honored to share some of their stories. We Resolve is another example of community building strength together against the criminal justice system through participatory defense! We need our people home, contributing to their communities and family, not locked in a cage. In this video, you'll see people who are making that happen in St. Paul, Minnesota!

Thank you to Damon & We Resolve for hosting us and sharing some of their story with us!
